Wings to Soar is a non-profit birds of prey environmental education organization founded in 2012. Our Mission is to educate people about the magnificent birds of prey (or raptors). The best way to accomplish this is by bringing live birds of prey to the classroom, gymnasium, boardroom or pavilion. These lively and informative presentations feature a variety of birds and many of the birds are free-flying for an unforgettable "close encounter"!

Hello Everyone,
Lookout is still in Honduras on Rio Patuca. He has been on and around this river for almost two months. Could this be his wintering area? It is starting to look like it. You can click on either image to enlarge. The single red dot on the wider shot is Lookout's position on 10 p.m. December 21st. The closer image shows his flight paths around the river. We'll have more information in a few days, so come back and watch this birds amazing journey. Thanks!

Hello Everyone,
Lookout is still on Rio Patuca, about 40 miles inland. He seems to be doing well and has now been in Honduras for over six weeks. So far, he seems to be doing everything right and we are always anxious and hopeful the next time we get data from him. We will post more as we get it. By the way, click on any photo to enlarge. Thanks!

Lookout on the Rio Patuca and just little more inland
Hello Everyone,
Lookout continues his winter and his first migration on Rio Patuca in Honduras (click on either image to enlarge). He is now about thirty miles inland and apparently this river has all he needs for now. In addition to the native bird population, he has a lot on North American migrant songbirds in the area. Plenty O pickings abound! We are just happy that we get readings from him as he continues his life's big journey. We have more data in a few days. Thanks!

Lookout is still on Rio Patuca, but he has moved...a little
Hello,
Lookout is still on Rio Patuca in Honduras, but he has moved just a little. He has followed the river a little inland...about ten miles. Click on either image to enlarge. He apparently still has great hunting and habitat so it will be interesting to see if he continues to stay in the area. Keep following and thanks!
